Free Employment Law Seminar - Wednesday April 26th

Listowel Chamber in association with Chambers Ireland and Peninsula Business Services will host a free Employment Law Seminar in the Listowel Arms Hotel on Wednesday April 26th at 12.30pm.

This seminar will update you on constantly changing Employment Law legislation and how it affects business, including the implications of EU decisions and directives.

Here are some of the topics that will be covered:

· Employment Equality Act 1998
· Unfair/Constructive Dismissal
· Discrimination: Gender, Marital Status, Family Status, Sexual Orientation
· EU Legislation - Working Time Regulations
· Industrial Relations (Amendment) Act 2001 - Trade Union
· Employee Rights -v- Employer Obligations
· Contracts of Employment - Why the need and how to issue them
· Employment appeals Tribunal, The Labour Court and The Office of the Director of Equality Investigations

2006 Chamber membership subscriptions

Chamber membership subscriptions are not subject to VAT according to a recent ruling by Revenue. Therefore the 2006 subscription rates quoted last month were incorrect. Here are the valid subscription rates for 2006:

1 - 5 employees €220
6-10 employees €290
11-50 employees €370
50+ employees €490
